PLEASE SHARE YOUR STORIES ABOUT WORKFORCE REDUCTION IMPACTS:

The federal workforce reductions continue, and now 32 site leases across the nation are set to be terminated. Please contact STS at Advocacy@SoutheastTourism.org with your stories of impacts on your site and/or community. At this time, thousands of employees of these agencies have been fired (Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and USDA Forest Service). Additionally, it has been announced that several dozen National Park Service leases will be cancelled.

Please take a look at the relevant leases in STS states, and let us know how one or more of these cancellations will impact you. We need your stories! Members of Congress have asked us for real life visitor impact and public safety concerns resulting from these workforce reductions and lease terminations.
